Hive expands team with five new roles to support growth

Hive, a company specialising in media control systems and software, is expanding its workforce by adding five new positions. Rory Jervis has been appointed as sales director to foster commercial expansion, while Nigel Sadler has been promoted to chief pollinator, a newly established role dedicated to enhancing partnerships and promoting Hive’s vision.

To further strengthen Hive’s growth, Ciaran Abrams will serve as lead developer, Danielle Hastings will take on the role of customer service executive, and Alex Couzins steps in as marketing specialist. These new team members enhance Hive’s dedication to providing innovative media control solutions alongside outstanding customer service.

Nigel Sadler

In his new position as chief pollinator, Sadler will spearhead Hive’s goal to democratise the media engine market, simplifying complex video technology for everyone. With a passion for storytelling and extensive industry knowledge, he aims to build robust partnerships and enhance Hive’s reach. 

Sadler has over 40 years of experience in lighting, audio, video, and stage management. He has played a key role in cultivating client relationships and landing prestigious projects. His leadership continues to be a crucial factor in Hive’s success.

Rory Jervis

Jervis, as sales director, will spearhead Hive’s commercial strategy by broadening distribution channels and enhancing client relationships. He brings valuable experience from a leading global firm in the commercial display sector, showcasing a solid history in B2B project sales and crafting effective sales strategies.

At Hive, Jervis will focus on streamlining the sales process, improving customer engagement, and facilitating easy access to Hive’s advanced media playback solutions.

Ciaran Abrams

Abrams has come on board at Hive as the Lead Developer, fueled by a commitment to software innovation and enhancing user-friendly experiences. With experience in creating sophisticated software for ceremonies, spectaculars, and tours, Abrams is focused on growing Hive’s user base across various industries.

He aims to promote widespread adoption of Hive’s platform, enabling creatives to fully leverage its capabilities, regardless of whether they are engaged in large productions or smaller video projects.

Danni Hastings

Hastings joins Hive as a Customer Service Executive, offering her expertise in B2B and D2C customer support. With substantial experience in both in-person and remote service, she is skilled at fostering relationships and ensuring smooth customer interactions.

At Hive, Hastings will be the primary contact for customers, while also optimising internal processes and working with various departments to enhance efficiency through innovative approaches.

Alex Couzins

With almost twenty years in marketing, Couzins leads Hive’s marketing strategy and brand awareness, ensuring a clear and compelling understanding of Hive’s offerings. He will collaborate closely with regional distribution partners to support demand generation in critical markets.

Couzins has held senior marketing positions at PSCo/Midwich, Absen, and AVMI (now Kinly), showcasing his expertise across the AV and live events sector, particularly in LED and video display technology.
