HOLOPLOT to exhibit new innovations at ISE 2023

Holoplot X1 Rigging

Team will present new design & simulation software as well as new X1 rigging system in Barcelona

HOLOPLOT, a science-based immersive audio company, will be exhibiting at ISE 2023, which takes place in Barcelona from 31 January to 3 February. Last year, the firm enjoyed a successful first showing of its X1 Matrix Array at the event, coming away with the Best of Show award in the Installation category, and this year the team plans to reveal the Beta version of its new design and simulation software HOLOPLOT Plan, alongside the new X1 rigging system.

Since its debut in 2011, HOLOPLOT has continuously pushed the limits of what is possible in sound reproduction. It uses 3D Audio-Beamforming and Wavefield Synthesis to direct sound (both vertically and horizontally) to the exact location of the listener.

Its X1 series, which consists of the X1 Modul 96 full-range speaker and the X1 Modul 80-S loudspeaker with built-in sub, is more than just a speaker; it’s a fully integrated system that combines sophisticated software and IoT capabilities. It was created for high-performance applications like concerts, event venues, theme parks, large conferences, immersive installations, and more.

Introducing HOLOPLOT Plan

HOLOPLOT X1 Matrix Array

The firm has now created HOLOPLOT Plan to make creating, simulating, and putting together a HOLOPLOT sound system easy and intuitive.

“Our aim is to make our technology more accessible,” says head of product Michael Kastner. “HOLOPLOT Plan allows creatives and designers to see the direct impact our technology can have on their own projects.”

Matrix Arrays of various configurations can be generated using Plan’s 3D graphical interface, and sound fields based on 3D Audio-Beamforming and Wave Field Synthesis technologies can be produced.

By simulating and visualising direct sound pressure levels, HOLOPLOT Plan offers an accurate forecast of the audio coverage in the space. Projects are exportable to EASE for advanced simulations and additional analysis.

On their booth at ISE, HOLOPLOT experts will give exhibit attendees the chance to personally experience HOLOPLOT Plan. By enrolling in the Early Access Program, users can join the company’s mission by designing sound systems using the beta version of HOLOPLOT Plan and providing their views and suggestions to the team.

New X1 rigging system

The team will also be debuting its brand-new X1 rigging system and hosting a daily programme of 30-minute lectures titled “Sound system design brought to life with X1 and HOLOPLOT Plan” and “Maneuvering tricky acoustic terrain with X1.”

X1 is now more adaptable than ever thanks to the rigging. The ability to deploy arrays either vertically or horizontally, and their indefinite scalability, allows X1 to enter both the fixed installation and the rental markets. From multi-purpose event spaces, large-scale live entertainment venues, auditoriums and concert halls to places of worship or theme parks – X1 has the power to transform sound experiences inside a wide range of venues.

ISE 2023 attendees will have the chance to hear from HOLOPLOT’s head of sales, Ryan Penny, at the Live Events Summit on 2nd February in CC5.3 from 16:45 – 17:25. Penny will be speaking alongside other industry leaders in a session entitled ‘Technical innovation: the latest developments already changing the live touring landscape’.

Finally, attendees can also sample HOLOPLOT’s famous coffee from the Barcelona-based team at Nomad on stand 7G700 inside the audio hall, and get the full X1 experience inside Audio Demo Room B2.

Last year, HOLOPLOT announced a new partnership with Electrosonic, an international technology services firm, to expand the latter’s immersive experience offering.
