Imagineear, an audioguide and multimedia content specialist offering a full range of advisory and interpretation services, has announced that Ashridge Capital has made a £4.15m investment in the firm.

Co-CEOs of Imagineear, Andrew Nugée and Ziv Kushnir are pleased to partner with Ashridge and David Sherratt, founder and CEO of Ashridge Capital, and principal investor.

Nugée and Kushnir say: “We are optimistic about the marketplace we serve, and the many technological and geographical opportunities we see in front of us.  There has never been a better time to invest in Imagineear, and Ashridge will allow us to develop our ambitious plans faster and with greater determination.

“We welcome David onto the main board of the company, and look forward to developing the business together.”

Sherratt adds: “We are delighted to invest in and to partner with Imagineear, and I very much look forward to helping Andrew, Ziv and their team realise their goals.  They have built a great business, with an excellent team, and operate in a fast-changing, growing and exciting marketplace. Together, I am confident that Imagineear will continue to demonstrate strong growth in shareholder value.”

Backing ambitious companies

Sherratt, a private equity veteran with over 30 years of experience in London and New York, launched Ashridge Capital in 2009.

The firm supports growth-oriented firms with experienced management teams and ambitious plans for expansion. Its investments focus on profitable companies with strong market positions, good pricing power, repeat business, and defensive traits. Ashridge Capital’s owner-managed and entrepreneurial culture, versatility, and responsiveness differentiate the firm as a value-added investor.

Imagineear creates unforgettable client experiences using immersive audio, interactive multimedia, and VR/AR technology. Its audio and multimedia solutions can be found at sports venues, cultural locations, and tourist attractions. Recent projects include a collaboration with Bloomberg Philanthropies to expand the Bloomberg Connects App. This provides free digital guides to cultural sites in Europe, the United States, and Asia, and aims to bring the joy of cultural experiences to the broadest possible audience.

Last month, Imagineear revealed its new product, the XP4 Audio Player, the latest member of the acclaimed X-plorer audioguide device family. With a cost-effective price point and exceptional sound quality, this technology enables attractions to share their stories and captivate a wider audience than ever before.
