Listen Technologies, a provider of assistive listening, multi-language audio transmission and live-streaming audio solutions, has announced that it will be attending this year’s InfoComm, which takes place in Orlando from 10 – 16 June 2023. During the show, the firm, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, will debut a new assistive listening system. The team will also showcase Listen Technologies’ full suite of assistive listening and communication solutions.
In addition, AVIXA, the producer of the InfoComm annual trade show, has selected the company’s ListenTALK mobile two-way communication system to support guided Show Floor and Interactive Experience Tours, for the second consecutive year. Attendees can also enjoy a special “Beer and Gear” event organised by Listen Technologies. Members of the media are invited to visit the team at booth #2961 to learn more about the firm’s range of products.
Happy birthday, Listen Technologies
“We always look forward to InfoComm, seeing our customers and engaging with so many creative, visionary industry professionals,” says Maile Keone, president and CEO of Listen Technologies. “At this year’s InfoComm, Listen Technologies will celebrate 25 years of pursuing our organization’s mission to make clear audio accessible and deliver exceptional listening experiences.
“We are proud to mark this milestone at an event that champions the important role of A/V technology in facilitating communication, and we are excited about the future of our organization and the industry.”
On 4 June, the company will mark its silver anniversary on June 4. For 25 years, it has helped people overcome the challenges that make hearing difficult with solutions that make clear audio accessible. Listen Technologies was founded in 1998, and has since become a world leader in advanced wireless listening solutions. Throughout this journey, it has continued to listen to its customers and the industry and to create innovative, flexible solutions that meet the unique communication needs of a range of users.
Today, Listen Technologies solutions can be found in a number of different settings and venues, from houses of worship and courts to theatres, classrooms, arenas, tours and more.
New product to be unveiled at InfoComm
At this year’s show, the Listen Technologies team will present a new assistive listening system. This new solution complies with all Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and international compliance requirements and offers exceptional audio clarity and intelligibility.
Listen Technologies developed the system in response to feedback on assistive listening systems from customers, partners, and end users. It can be used in many different locations and sectors and offers seamless audio access.
Attendees can also discover the full suite of Listen Technologies assistive listening and communications solutions at InfoComm 2023. This includes:
- ListenRF. The flagship product from Listen Technologies delivers audio wirelessly over an FM channel designated for assistive listening. Listen Technologies is the only supplier of radio frequency assistive listening systems in both the 72 and 216 MHz ranges. ListenRF 72 MHz devices are ideal for installations in small- to medium-sized rooms, such as theatres or houses of worship. Systems that employ the 216 MHz frequency enable customers to walk around large venues without losing the signal, expanding the coverage for large theatres, arenas, and stadiums.
- ListenIR. This uses infrared technology to transmit audio signals to individual receivers. As light cannot pass through walls, this is a good solution for places like courtrooms and boardrooms, where secrecy and security are paramount. The ListenIR receivers’ infrared transparent housing guarantees a strong signal at all angles with few dropouts. ListenIR receivers are also compatible with competitor transmitters, for an audio quality upgrade, or with systems that just need new receivers.
ListenTALK supports trade show tours
Following its success last year, Listen Technologies will once again support AVIXA’s guided Show Floor and Integrated Experience Tours at InfoComm with ListenTALK. The two-way communication system was chosen for this task because it is reliable and simple to operate, and it delivers exceptional audio clarity, even in large, noisy spaces like convention centres.
In addition to enabling group communication and simultaneous interpretation, ListenTALK transceivers can also be used as a portable assistive listening system. Up to 20 groups can meet simultaneously in the same location while using ListenTALK, which can be utilised both indoors and outdoors. The system supports three talking paths and can be used for one-way or two-way communication.
A “Beer and Gear” event will be held at the Listen Technologies booth (2961) on Thursday 15 June from 3 – 5 pm to kick off a series of celebrations for the company’s anniversary and the launch of the new assistive hearing system. Everyone is welcome to stop by the booth for a drink, a chat, and demos of Listen Technologies’ products. At this event, Listen Technologies is looking forward to meeting old and new friends as well as partners from many sectors of the industry.
Recent projects
Attendees will be able to discover the versatility of the firm’s solutions and the wide range of applications, as shown through a number of recent case studies. This includes the installation of Listen EVERYWHERE at the University of Southern California, which will be followed by the campus-wide rollout of Listen Technologies’ newest assistive listening system.
Listen EVERYWHERE recently supported interpretation at the biggest Adventist youth gathering in Europe, where over 2,500 attendees gathered in Lahti, Finland, and has also been installed at Farmington Valley Jewish Congregation in Simsbury, Connecticut, to support assistive listening.
Elsewhere, the Lutcher Theater in Orange, Texas, chose to bring in a combined Wi-Fi and RF system from Listen Technologies as an upgrade to its 30-year-old assistive listening system, and the Crown Center for Senior Living independent living community in St. Louis, Missouri opted to use ListenTALK for assistive listening and interpretation. Here, the solution helps residents and patrons with varying degrees of hearing loss connect and overcome feelings of isolation and loneliness.
