Mad Systems appoints Paul Kent as new Global Business Development VP

News
Mad Systems Paul Kent

Mad Systems Inc., the award-winning audiovisual and interactive system designer and integrator, has recently confirmed the company’s latest leadership appointment.

Paul Kent will join the growing team as the vice president of global business development and will be representing the award-winning audio-visual company from his base in the United Kingdom. Kent will be travelling globally regularly to continue Mad Systems’ reach into international markets.

Kent joins Mad Systems, a company that specialises in interactive exhibits for museums, visitor centres, theme parks, and travelling exhibitions, bringing three decades years of experience in the themed entertainment sector. He will be a perfect fit for the company, according to Mad Systems, as it continues to develop and expand its AV system, QuickSilver, and other cutting-edge technologies.

“We are very excited about the future of Mad with Paul coming aboard,” says Mad Systems founder Maris Ensing. “Mad is in a state of strong growth, and we look forward to the new opportunities Paul will bring to the team.”

“Incredibly excited”

Kent has held a variety of positions throughout his lengthy career, from designer to site management, with experience in a variety of industries, including theme parks, science centres, museums, and retail settings.

Kent says: “I am incredibly excited to join Mad Systems and their world-beating team of designers and technologists. The technologies being created are disruptive compared to how traditional integrators work.

“As a team, everyone gets it, even if it means moving and thinking totally outside of the box; after all, what other technology company has built an aeroplane at a client’s request? That “let’s do it” attitude makes them unique across the market. It’s time to be immersed in Madness!”

Ahead of the curve

Kent currently serves as the vice president of the EME Division for the Themed Entertainment Association and is a member of the Manufacturers and Suppliers EMEA Subcommittee for the IAAPA, the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions. He is also a 2021 Blooloop 50 Influencers inductee.

Tricia Rodriguez, owner of Mad Systems Inc. adds: “Things are changing in a very positive way for the AV industry, the themed entertainment industry, and for Mad. We have always strived to be ahead of the curve, and having Paul on our team will help us with that goal. We are very excited to have him as part of our team.”

Earlier this year, Darryl Baggley was also hired by Mad Systems to broaden its global reach. Based in Toronto, Canada, he will primarily take on project management responsibilities.

The company also brought its QuickSilver system to Harry S. Truman Presidential Library & Museum, enhancing operations of the newly renovated 14,000-square-foot museum space.
