Powersoft, the Italian amplifier specialist, has announced that it will debut the gateway device Verso and new lower-power Unica models at ISE 2024 in Barcelona.
ISE is the world-leading event for AV and systems integration professionals and is taking place from 30 January until 2 February at Fira Barcelona. The firm will present Verso at stand #7E700 in Hall 7. This product has been developed to connect current Powersoft products to its MyUniverso cloud platform.
ISE delegates can learn how the Verso gateway enables system integrators and IT managers to fully utilise the MyUniverso cloud platform. MyUniverso, formerly known as Universo, has merged into MyPowersoft, allowing all MyPowersoft account holders to use the cloud platform.
Versatile solutions
Verso is a half-RU device developed to give users access to the MyUniverso cloud platform. This access extends to the full range of features for the complete line of Powersoft amplifiers that are currently available. Centralised remote firmware updates and monitoring can be accessed for every linked amplifier, and the system also supports Powersoft’s renowned Dynamic Music Distribution (DMD) solution.
The Powersoft team will be available at ISE 2024 to demonstrate Verso’s logging and data storage capabilities, which enable local continuity of service even during internet disruptions. Verso also includes the Easy Swap procedure, which was presented as part of Unica’s features at ISE 2023. This makes it quick and easy to manage any service outage in the unlikely event of a problem.
The gateway device works with third-party cloud systems, giving customers access to baseline cloud project backend information. Verso also enables users to access MyUniverso’s remote firmware update feature, which reduces the need to travel to installation sites.
Powersoft will also present the new lower-power Unica 1K8 and Unica 5K4, which are intended for smaller applications. In addition, the whole Unica Series now benefits from the inclusion of Dynamic Music Distribution (DMD) functionality, which was previously exclusive to Mezzo. Unica is the next generation of cloud-based amplifier platforms, with high power density, exceptional sound quality, and best-in-class efficiency.
The introduction of new lower-power Unica models, as well as the addition of DMD features that extend background music capabilities, maintains the platform’s “One Fits All” nature and emphasises the firm’s dedication to providing a versatile platform capable of meeting varied installation design needs.
Eco-friendly ethos
Since its launch nearly three decades ago, Powersoft has been an industry leader in energy efficiency, creating and promoting technologies such as Class D Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), Power Factor Correction (PFC), and Smart Rails Management (SRM), and many more.
In keeping with Powersoft’s goal to reduce its environmental impact, its ISE stand will be made of reusable and eco-friendly materials such as wood and glass.
Luca Giorgi, sales director at Powersoft, says: “We are looking forward to presenting Verso and the new Unica models at this year’s ISE. Last year’s edition of ISE saw us unveil the Unica Series, which is the most efficient and highest-performing amplifier we have released to date.
“With the launch of the two new low-power models of Unica and the addition of DMD features extending background music capabilities, we are pursuing the goal of offering a platform able to meet different install design requirements.
“At Powersoft, our vision has always been to lead by innovation and energy efficiency. With the introduction of the new Verso gateway, we extend an opportunity for our customers to further harness the remote management and monitoring capabilities provided by the MyUniverso Cloud platform, this grants service continuity and consequent peace of mind, which results in less trips to the sites and waste of time.
“Expanding cloud functionality to other Powersoft products ensures more intuitive and efficient remote management of installations, and ultimately reduces the impact on the carbon footprint of the industry.”
Powersoft recently announced that it has provided its next-generation amplifier Unica and a Mover compact transducer for an enhanced audio experience at Treetop Adventure Golf, UK.
