Semnox Solutions, a provider of technology for the entertainment and amusement industry, has partnered with family entertainment destination TEX Fun & Social.
The collaboration, which began with the official reopening of the newly renovated, 100,000-square-foot building, is a significant step forward in improving the overall visitor experience at TEX Fun & Social, formerly known as Texas Entertainment Xperience (TEX).
Comprehensive integration
This freshly refurbished attraction, now named TEX Fun & Social, uses Semnox’s Parafait portfolio of solutions across its wide range of activities. Guests of all ages can enjoy the wide range of attractions, which include eight lanes of full bowling with a solid LED wall, new cutting-edge arcade games, laser tag, six lanes of axe throwing, four golf simulator suites and indoor pickleball courts. There is also a full restaurant and bar, a large arcade and a redemption area.
Shelby Hernandez, general manager at TEX Fun & Social, says: “We invested a lot of time in trying to make the right decision on what point of sale (POS) and game card system to bring into our newly rebranded facility. We could not be more pleased with our decision to have Semnox run our FEC. We have six major attractions and over 85 arcade games on the floor now and last night was our opening.”
Every part of the facility at TEX Fun & Social is integrated with Semnox. This covers inventory control, redemption management, and the POS system for transactions on various platforms. RFID XTER attraction readers are used for access control in the arcade and attractions, while self-service kiosks handle contactless payments and game top-ups. RFID LUMIN game readers are used to provide “tap-to-play” functionality.
A simplified waiver administration system and online party and event booking tools are also included in the integration. This extensive package of technologies helps TEX Fun & Social run smoothly and efficiently, improving customer engagement, operational efficiency, and overall facility management.
Hernandez concludes: “Everything worked as we had hoped. The entire Semnox team has been incredible to work with, they all truly earned our business. It’s been pure pleasure.”
Last month, Semnox Solutions celebrated the formal opening of its UK office in Reading with a launch event which symbolised Semnox’s ongoing growth and commitment to providing services to the UK and European markets.
