Ticket Tailor integrates with Square to power international expansion

News
Ticket-Tailor-integrates-with-Square

Ticket Tailor, a leading self-serve event ticketing platform, has announced its seamless integration with Square, a technology company that makes commerce and financial services simple and easy to access. Thanks to this move, event organisers selling tickets on the Ticket Tailor app can now accept online payments with Square.

In contrast to other ticketing websites, Ticket Tailor only charges a small flat fee for each ticket sold, with prices starting at 19p (26c), plus a transaction fee. The transaction charge varies depending on the region and the payment provider the event organiser selects when establishing a ticket office.

Since opening a Square account is free and its transaction costs are fairly low, it appeals to event planners of all sizes. This partnership, which debuted in beta at the beginning of June, is expected to create new business opportunities while giving organisers and ticket purchasers better payment alternatives.

Added convenience and global growth

Ticket Tailor never holds the funds, which allows them to provide organisers with immediate payment to their preferred online payment account. This results in far better cash flow management and financial efficiency because event organisers receive their money as soon as a transaction is completed.

In addition to helping the events sector, the partnership between Ticket Tailor and Square offers both businesses a chance to expand into new areas. Over 1 million tickets are being sold each month on Ticket Tailor, which was founded in 2010. It has a strong international presence; so far in 2023, 44% of all tickets sold took place in the UK, followed by the US (33%), the rest of Europe (12%), Canada (7%), Australia & New Zealand (2%), and other countries (2%).

“We’re thrilled to join forces with Square and extend our payment options to event organisers worldwide,” says George Follet, commercial director at Ticket Tailor. “This integration not only provides added convenience to our clients but also opens up new avenues for international growth and strengthens our presence in key sectors that are particularly fond of Square. The early success of this collaboration is a testament to the shared value we bring to the event industry.”

Earlier this year, Ticket Tailor announced the launch of its all-new memberships and season pass feature.
