The UK’s first VR paragliding experience is open and welcoming its first riders at BrightonPalace Pier.
ParadropVR is provided by Immersivity Ltd and operated in partnership with BrightonPalace Pier. The new attraction combines state-of-the-art VR (Virtual Reality) and paragliding to create a unique andthrilling experience.The new VR paragliding experience is located on the western side of Brighton Palace Pier, within the FunFair.
Riders are suspended in a paragliding harness and wear a VR headset to simulate the flightof a real paraglider. While doing so air jets are directed at them to recreate the sensation of soaring at rapidspeed.

A VR paragliding experience that "does something really special"
Martin Howe is Chief Executive Officer, Immersivity. He said:“This is a truly unique ride, that does something really special. The virtual-reality headset also offers incredible detail and movement. And, because you’re strapped into a suspendedharness, just as you would be if you were paragliding, you feel like you’re genuinely flying.
“We’ve had people who literally can’t stop yelping and screaming as soon as they’re on theride – which we think is a good indication of just how good this is.”
As well as shrieking at the jaw-dropping scenery flying past, ParadropVR riders cancompete with each other. They receive points for every target they successfully fly through. High scores goon to a global scoreboard, meaning Paradroppers can gauge their skills against other riders.
Immersivity CEO Martin Howe is also promising this will be the first of many rides and is keento hear from other potential operators.
