Alexandre Lupien is creative director of Moment Factory, a multidisciplinary entertainment studio specialising in the creation and production of immersive environments with over 20 years of expertise in themed entertainment. As creative director, Lupien is the mastermind behind some of the most awe-inspiring and immersive experiences in the attractions industry.
With more than 10 years’ experience in multimedia production, Lupien has collaborated with industry giants like Universal and Meow Wolf to craft innovative guest experiences that push the boundaries of what’s possible. His technical expertise provides the foundation for his creative vision, and he leverages his knowledge of visual and special effects to drive innovation on award-winning projects that redefine the theme park experience.
One of Lupien’s biggest achievements is Meow Wolf Denver’s Perpexiplex, a surreal forest experience that guests can influence and engage with. Lupien said: “We’re most proud of how social the Perplexiplex experience is. People really engage with each other, share their unique moments, point out their discoveries, and truly live in the moment. Ultimately, we hope that all guests who enter Perplexiplex will be transported into surreal, fantastical worlds, and, most importantly, will share the experience with others.”
Lupien told blooloop in 2022: “We are known for three things: quality, innovation, and rigour. We do things well, but we’re also super flexible; we will always adapt and converge towards the best outcome while having fun.
“Every project has its twists and turns. It’s like riding a coaster; it’s a matter of how you take those curves and how you brace for the next twist. The power of a team comes from the synergy and the pleasure people draw from working together. It’s a business, but it is also our passion, and there’s no need to make it painful or rigid.”
