Marie Marks is Paramount Pictures’ senior vice president of experiences. Marks is responsible for an iconic portfolio of intellectual properties including Star Trek, Top Gun, and Mission: Impossible, as well as Nickelodeon and MTV brands. Paramount’s IPs reach audiences across a range of platforms including film, stage productions, theme parks, immersive experiences, branded restaurants, and hotels.
Since joining Paramount in 2019, Marks has successfully signed myriad global licensing contracts. With responsibility spanning all aspects of the business, she has worked diligently to develop better continuity between the business, legal, compliance and finance units, restructuring legacy projects and systems to better serve the evolving landscape.
Paramount Global has now partnered with South Korea’s retail giant Shinsegae Group to build a new theme park in Hwaseong. Paramount will be involved in the design, creating rides and attractions based on its brands, like SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Mission: Impossible, and Star Trek. Marks confirmed in October 2024: “We will create a world-renowned theme park in collaboration with Shinsegae.”
