Rick Hunter is the President & CEO of ProSlide Technology Inc., an industry leader in water ride manufacturing and design. “My most important job is to ensure we’re always innovating, always building the world’s best water rides,” he says. Hunter founded ProSlide in 1986, partnering with sailboat manufacturer Hans Tanzer to bring his knowledge of high-quality fibreglass manufacturing to water rides.
ProSlide has pioneered nearly every major water ride innovation in the attractions industry for the past 35 years. As a former national ski team racer, Hunter’s goal has always been to mirror ski racing’s smooth turns, steep grades and big drops in ProSlide’s water rides. The company’s water rides can be found at parks by Disney, Six Flags, Great Wolf Resorts, Center Parcs and OCT.
ProSlide boasts more than 100 awards and recognitions, including 16 IAAPA ‘Best New Water Ride’ awards in the last 19 years, which is five times more than all other manufacturers combined.
