The Bezark Company, an international creator of experiences, has been honoured at this year’s Thea Awards for its animatronic show design as part of the Chimelong Spaceship, winner of the Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement.
At over two million square feet, the facility is the biggest indoor theme park on the planet. Bezark delivered concept, schematic and production services for more than a dozen animatronic installations. This included the narrative, character design, script writing, and music in collaboration with Yessian Music.

Company founder, Adam J. Bezark was part of the initial creative team for the original attraction development. He was chosen by the TEA to moderate a panel session with Eric Parr and Steve Blum, key designers on the project, for the TEA Inspire case study programme.
With the recognition of two productions featuring the company’s work, the awards ceremony was a standout moment.
“It was pretty wild,” says Bezark. “It’s always nice for your work to be recognized by your peers, and it was really cool to have one of our earliest and one of our latest shows both get awards the same night.
“It just makes us extra excited about the future. There’s so much great stuff going on, and it’d be really something to come back in another 30 years and do it all over again.”
The Bezark Company recently marked the opening of Beaver Creek Resort’s enchanting new outdoor night-time experience. The company was appointed to develop a rich media installation to animate the clock tower in the centre of Beaver Creek, Colorado, a renowned mountain resort.
