North America‘s longest inverted family coaster set to launch

Busch Gardens parks in Tampa Bay and Williamsburg are adding several new rides and realms this year, including an inverted family coaster and a new zone.

New attractions include North America‘s longest inverted family coaster, The Big Bad Wolf: The Wolf’s Revenge, at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, and the new Wild Oasis immersive realm at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.

“We can’t wait for our guests to experience all we have in store for them in 2025, especially our exciting all-new attraction and immersive realm,” said Marc Swanson, CEO of United Parks & Resorts.

“These family-friendly attractions and experiences give everyone more ways to enjoy our parks and make lifelong memories together.”

Wild Oasis, billed as North America’s most immersive adventure realm, opens this spring. It is located within the park’s Jungala area and is designed to spark the imagination and engage the senses.

Guests will be immersed in the sights and sounds of the rainforest as they enjoy a reimagined drop tower featuring state-of-the-art digital and sound effects an interactive water-play area and a multi-level climbing canopy. Wild Oasis will also offer a new multi-species animal habitat.

As for the Wolf’s Revenge, this is described as Busch Gardens Williamsburg’s most immersive family attraction to date.

Inspired by the Big Bad Wolf, an iconic Busch Gardens roller coaster from 1984 to 2009, the new ride is set in a bustling Bavarian village preparing for a festival before the terrifying return of the wolf.

Riders will embody the wolf, racing through the German countryside across more than 2,500 feet of track at speeds up to 40 miles per hour.

Amid a trend for family coasters, the attraction features a family-friendly design and is accessible for children as small as 42 inches with a supervising rider.
