Canada’s Wonderland in Vaughan, Ontario is opening for the 2023 season on 5 May with a new 360-degree thrill ride and a new family-friendly launch coaster.
Located in Frontier Canada, ‘Tundra Twister’ is a giant spinning swing ride that will twist and twirl riders at heights of 47 metres and speeds of 75 km/h.
‘Snoopy’s Racing Railway’, part of Planet Snoopy, is the park’s 18th roller coaster. Guests will go from zero to 50 km/h in seconds.
“We’re proud to offer such a diversity of experiences to our guests,” said Norm Pirtovshek, general manager at Canada’s Wonderland.

“Through four seasons we have more than 200 attractions at the park, rides for guests of all ages and world-class events and entertainment that can’t be missed.”
Also new for this year is the ‘Taste of Brazil’ food festival on 19 and 20 August. The event will offer dishes including grilled meats and chimichurri, salt cod fritters, meat pastries and Brazilian black bean stew.
Canada’s Wonderland is a 300-acre theme park with more than 200 attractions, including 18 roller coasters and the 20-acre Splash Works water park.
It is owned and operated by Cedar Fair, as is Kings Island in Cincinnati, Ohio, which is debuting a new restaurant this year.

“Our guests continue to tell us that the park’s culinary offering is such an important part of their visit to Kings Island,” said Mike Koontz, Kings Island’s vice president and general manager.
Located on International Street, the new Grain & Grill dining location will serve Eastern European and Mediterranean-inspired dishes.
Last year, Kings Island announced a new themed area called ‘Adventure Port’, offering two family-friendly rides and enhanced theming for the Adventure Express coaster.
Elsewhere, Cedar Fair is set to launch the first phase of its new esports facility at the Cedar Point Sports Center in Sandusky, Ohio.
