Investments for next year are Cedar Fair‘s largest ever at approximately $200 million.

Cedar Fair has unveiled plans for the 2023 season at several of its properties in the US and Canada. The company is launching include new rides, attractions, themed areas and dining experiences.

Richard Zimmerman, Cedar Fair’s president and CEO, said the investments for next year are the theme park operator‘s largest ever at approximately $200 million.

He said the upgrades and new additions “are focused squarely on what matters most – making people happy and providing our guests with a best-day experience on every visit”.

Canada’s Wonderland is adding a giant looping ride called Tundra Twister. Its rotating gondola arms send guests spinning, twisting and twirling. Cedar Fair describes the ride as a “mechanical marvel” and the only attraction of its kind in the world.

At Cedar Point, a new themed area called The Boardwalk is opening next year, offering new rides, as well as dining and entertainment experiences. In addition, the new Wild Mouse coaster is a nod to the original coaster of the same name. The new version will feature cars that spin 360-degrees along 1,312 feet of track.

Fiesta Village at Knott’s Berry Farm will be completely revitalised. It will also include a new coaster called MonteZOOMa: The Forbidden Fortress, an updated version of Montezooma’s Revenge. The Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel is also being transformed.

“Guest satisfaction ratings at our parks this season have been among our highest ever, validating that the investments we’ve made to improve the guest experience are paying off,” Zimmerman said.

“Our capital plans for 2023 are aimed at taking those experiences to a new level, whether you’re a diehard coaster fan, a foodie with a taste for something unique, or a festival lover who enjoys great live entertainment.”
