Titan, an eight foot tall robot created by UK-based Cyberstein Robots Ltd., has lifted a publicity event to new heights on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.
The ‘Joy of Eid’ campaign, created by Farah Experiences, was designed to promote the resort’s leisure destinations including Ferrari World, Yas Water World, Yas Mall and Cascade Dining.
Titan took up residence on Yas Island for two weeks, delighting the crowds as he welcomed them in English and Arabic and creating a buzz on social media.
Andre Poisson, Manager of Strategy at Farah Experiences, said the event had been a big success with enthusiastic groups of families and young adults gathering to view Titan’s performances:
“On behalf of Farah Experiences I want to thank Cyberstein Robots and the Emerald team for making our event ‘Titan on Yas Island’ such a great success. The activation took place over 10 days overlapping with the Eid week at Cascade Dining, Ferrari World, Yas Water World and Yas Mall, in which we also integrated Titan the Robot performances and promoted the Say Yas, Joy of Eid campaign.
“This activation was successful, seeing always a group of around 60 people, mainly families with young kids as well as young adults, gathering around the robot performances each time. A high majority of our F&B outlets performed well during the Eid weekend. Awareness raised around the Eid activation and the destination through social media campaign & PR coverage. We have received multiple messages from our guests with very positive feedback about how the activities were engaging and innovative. We have also received positive feedback from tenants from the various facilities.”
Cyberstein Robots has a robot based permanently in Dubai so that the company can deploy it quickly to events, saving on shipping time and costs. The Titan brand in the Middle East is being expanded by Mark Woods, the Director of Business Development at Cyberstein Robots and Robyn Sokol from Emerald Events and Entertainment, based in Dubai.
