New lounges are inspired by Disney parks attractions

Disney Cruise Line has unveiled more experiences for its heroes and villains-themed ship, including new bars inspired by Cruella de Vil, the Haunted Mansion, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Themed to Cruella de Vil from One Hundred and One Dalmatians (1961) and Cruella (2021), De Vil’s piano lounge on the Disney Destiny is a Hollywood Regency-style bar for adults with red, black and white details.

The new ship‘s Pirates of the Caribbean bar, called the Cask and Cannon, is inspired by the characters and scenes in the Disney parks attractions. It will, of course, serve an extensive menu of rums, as well as bootlegged brews.

Like the Disney Treasure, the Destiny will also have a Haunted Mansion-themed bar, based on the Disney parks attractions. It will feature legendary characters from the iconic ride, new seafaring arrivals, and Disney’s distinct brand of spooky storytelling.

Disney Cruise Line’s signature attraction at sea, AquaMouse, will introduce a new villainous storyline on the Destiny. On the 760-foot-long water ride, guests will meet the Queen of Hearts (Alice in Wonderland), Scar (The Lion King) and Chernabog (Fantasia).

During their time on the Disney Destiny, guests will also encounter villains including Maleficent, Hades, Captain Hook and Oogie Boogie.

“The Disney Destiny is all about celebrating the bold, charismatic, and driven characters at the heart of our favorite stories,” said Sharon Siskie, senior vice president and general manager, Disney Cruise Line.

“And who are our beloved heroes without the antagonists who challenge them to prevail? We want our guests to have fun with the unique theme of this ship, and we are having a blast creating spaces and entertainment experiences that pay tribute to the villains, anti-heroes, and mischief makers who have captivated Disney film and theme park audiences for generations.”

Earlier this week, Disney Cruise Line unveiled a new dining experience inspired by The Lion King for the Disney Destiny, as well as a sweet shop called Edna Á La Mode Sweets.

The Disney Destiny will start sailing in December 2025.
