Disneyland is hosting a series of community meetings in Anaheim to pitch its expansion plans – known as ‘DisneylandForward’ – to local residents.
The resort’s community coffees will be located at city parks across the city in California. They will take place between 9 and 11am, as follows:
- 20 May – Ponderosa Park
- 3 June – Walnut Grove Park
- 10 June – Boysen Park
- 24 June – Stoddard Park
- 22 July – Chaparral Park
- 12 August – Juarez Park

Attendees will find out more about Disneyland’s plans and get the chance to ask questions. In addition, the following DisneylandForward community events will be held this summer:
- 23 June – family and cultural show, Pearson Park
- 13 July – summer concert, Ronald Reagan Park
- 10 August – summer concert, Maxwell Park
Disneyland‘s planning proposal includes potential lands and attractions based on Frozen, Tangled, Peter Pan, Zootopia, Toy Story and Tron.
“We want to bring more Disney investment to Anaheim,” says the DisneylandForward website.
“However, this simply isn’t possible under current inflexible planning restrictions unless we remove and replace treasured rides and attractions in our parks today.

“Without updates, new Disney experiences and placemaking – created from our beloved stories – will likely never find their way to the Disneyland Resort as they have to other parks throughout the world.”
It adds: “With DisneylandForward and more flexibility within our existing properties, new lands and adventures like those underway at Tokyo DisneySea and Shanghai Disneyland could inspire new experiences here.”
The Frozen-themed land would include a boat ride and restaurant, while the Tangled land would have a gondola ride and restaurant. The Peter Pan-inspired Neverland area would offer two attractions and a restaurant.
Disneyland is also proposing a Toy Story land and a Zootopia-themed area, as well as a Tron Lightcycle / Run roller coaster, which recently opened at Florida’s Walt Disney World.
