Drayton Manor is preparing to launch Adventure Cove on July 30. The maritime-themed experience for families features new rides and attractions, as well as barrels, boats and steering wheels.
New offerings at Adventure Cove are Wave Swinger and Tidal Towers, while favourites such as Shockwave and Stormforce 10 have been reimagined for the themed area.
Wave Swinger is an exhilarating ride that sends guests soaring through the air, and Tidal Towers is a play area for children with rope bridges, slides and F&B at Chicken Hatch.
Drayton Manor has also rejuvenated the Chicken Diner, which will be serving Adventure Cove’s infamous fried chicken.
New additions Wave Swinger and Tidal Towers
“We’ve loved having visitors back in the park so far, and we can’t wait introduce them to Adventure Cove this summer,” said William Bryan, managing director at Drayton Manor.
“We’re really pleased with how the area has come together and to have seen our vision brought to life,” Bryan added.
Adventure Cove is the first investment phase from Drayton Manor’s new owners, Looping Group. The Bryan family, who had owned and run the park since it opened in 1950, went into administration before selling the destination.
Drayton Manor’s maritime-themed experience
“We’ve been working closely with our local contractors and are hugely grateful to them and the support of Looping Group for this new development,” Bryan said.
“I’d also like to thank the whole team at Drayton for working tirelessly under very difficult circumstances.
“It’s been very exciting gearing up to launch Adventure Cove, with a number of new rides and attractions for families and theme park fans alike.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming guests to enjoy seafaring adventures and experience a summer of fun at Drayton Manor Park.”
