Firm to celebrate milestone by putting on holiday drone show in Lake Eola Park for local families

Dronisos, a leading drone light show specialist, has established its first North American office, choosing to set up a space in Orlando because of the city’s strategic location and proximity to major theme parks.

After being established in 2016 in Bordeaux, France, Dronisos quickly became well-known in the world of drone light shows. The company is renowned for organising the biggest drone display in Europe at Disneyland Paris, which included an amazing fleet of 1,500 drones. It has also lit up famous sites like Mont-Saint-Michel in France and the Colosseum in Rome, Italy.

With its ability to perform in both indoor and outdoor settings, Dronisos is the only drone show firm dedicated to delivering entertainment for theme parks around the world. Being able to own its ecosystem from beginning to end—from building drones to creating software and control systems—makes the company stand out as a reliable partner for large theme parks and event planners, fostering quick innovation.

Orlando is a “natural choice”

“Given Orlando’s status as the global hub of amusement parks, it was a natural choice for Dronisos’s U.S expansion,” says Dronisos CEO Laurent Perchais, who relocated to Orlando in August 2023. Perchais highlights the company’s commitment to success in the US market.

The location, which is conveniently situated at 9100 Conroy Windermere Rd., Windermere, FL, will function as Dronisos’s regional headquarters and sales office for the United States. Plans are presently in progress to establish a Drone Show Academy at a nearby airfield. the recently opened Orlando office is anticipated to create 15 jobs in the next five years,

On 23 December at 8 pm, Dronisos and the Downtown Development Board of the City of Orlando will present a stunning drone show in Lake Eola Park to commemorate this historic milestone. This world-first event, geared towards families, promises a touching holiday experience with themed designs being created in the night sky by colourful LED-lit drones.

“We are thrilled to welcome Dronisos to the City Beautiful,” says Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer. “With our upcoming downtown holiday drone show back by popular demand, our partnership with Dronisos showcases the fusion of technology and art, adding a touch of magic to our vibrant city and further solidifies Orlando as the MetaCenter and a global leader for innovation.”

A premier destination for business

Dronisos’s expansion was greatly aided by the Orlando Economic Partnership (OEP), which supplied crucial site information, market data, research, connections to regional partners, and support with drone regulations.

“Innovative companies like Dronisos expanding in our region enhances our community’s economic landscape and reinforces Orlando’s status as a destination for cutting-edge industries,” adds Tim Giuliani, president and CEO of the OEP.

Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings also expressed his excitement, saying: “Dronisos’ expertise and expansion aligns with our vision for Orange County as the ‘Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow.’ Their establishment of the first U.S. office in our region underscores our commitment to fostering innovation, collaboration, and inclusion, setting Orange County as the premier destination for business.”

Earlier this year, Dronisos provided Europe’s biggest-ever drone show for the Bastille Day celebrations at Disneyland Paris. The show took place above the Sleeping Beauty Castle and featured 1,495 drones. These were accompanied by light effects, fountains and pyrotechnics.
