Dynamic Attractions, a leading creator of cutting-edge theme park rides, has announced that Jerry Pierson has been appointed to the role of President and COO of Dynamic Technologies Group Inc., subject to TSXV approval.
Pierson has more than 25 years of experience in the attractions industry. For the past three years, he has been based in Orlando, leading Dynamic’s organisation in the US as well as managing the company’s controls department.
Change of leadership
“Controls integration and mechatronics technology and the associated intellectual property have become a core competency and forms the nucleus of the Dynamic’s IP,” says Guy Nelson, Executive Chairman and CEO. “Our pivot as a Company to leveraging the intrinsic value of our IP makes Jerry the perfect person to assume the President and COO position for Dynamic Technologies Group.”
In his new role, Pierson will be President and COO of Dynamic Attractions, Dynamic Entertainment and Dynamic Structures.
Hao Wang, who joined the Company’s Dynamic Attractions division in 2017, will be leaving his post as President and COO. “I am pleased to announce that Hao has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Company effective immediately, which will help to make a smooth transition of leadership to Jerry in managing Dynamic Attractions and the ride manufacturing division,” says Nelson.
Building on a strong foundation
During his time as President and COO, Hao developed a strong management team, an effective organisational structure and efficient operations, as well as a succession plan for the company’s key functions. Appointing Hao to the Board of Directors will ensure a smooth transition and continuity.
The company has several cutting-edge projects set to come into service at theme parks across the globe during 2021, including a flying theatre attraction at The Island theme park in Tennessee’s Smoky Mountains, where Dynamic has an option to purchase 50% interest in the attraction.
Dynamic Attractions’ innovative rides have been recognised by IAAPA several times, most recently with two Brass Ring Awards at IAAPA Expo 2019.
