Falcon’s Beyond Global Dragon Ball theme park

Falcon’s Beyond Global, a fully integrated development enterprise for IP-driven parks, resorts, media and merchandise, has announced that Falcon’s Creative Group, a division of the company, has been selected as a lead creative consultant for the world’s first Dragon Ball theme park.

The company was selected by Qiddiya Investment Company and Toei Animation, and will deliver master planning, attraction design, and creative guardianship.

Bringing an iconic universe to life

The Dragon Ball theme park experience was revealed at AnimeJapan on 22 March. It will occupy more than 500,000 square metres and play a significant role in the much-awaited Qiddiya City in Saudi Arabia, the world’s first metropolis designed for play.

Falcon’s Creative Group will provide creative oversight for the development and construction of the Dragon Ball theme park and will be instrumental in bringing the project to life in exciting and immersive ways.

Visitors will be able to explore the universe of Dragon Ball, from the first series to Dragon Ball Super. The park will feature seven themed lands that recreate iconic locations from the original series, including Kame House, Capsule Corporation, and Beerus’ Planet.

Falcon’s Creative Group is a leader in themed entertainment master planning and design and has planned over $100bn in themed experiences around the world. The firm combines creative vision, captivating design, immersive media, and innovative technology to bring imagination to life.

Cecil D. Magpuri, CEO of Falcon’s Beyond, says: “It has been a true source of pride for our company to serve as a lead creative consultant for the Dragon Ball Theme Park. Qiddiya Investment Company, Toei Animation and our team hold a shared vision to reimagine the world of entertainment and delight consumers in new, innovative ways. This theme park will do just that.”

Further projects in Qiddiya City

The Tuwaiq mountains will serve as the backdrop for the Dragon Ball theme park’s lineup of over 30 attractions, including five cutting-edge rides. The park’s centrepiece is the Eternal Dragon, a remarkable 70-meter-tall figure of the dragon Shenron which will contain the park’s distinctive roller coaster. The themed dining venues within the park and the nearby hotels will enable visitors to completely immerse themselves in the Dragon Ball universe.

Falcon’s Creative Group is assisting with the creative development of several entertainment experiences within Qiddiya City, in addition to the Dragon Ball theme park. These experiences include master planning the Qiddiya Water Theme Park and assisting with the development of the world’s first Gaming and Esports district, which is also planned for the destination.

Earlier this month, Falcon’s Beyond Global announced its latest expansion strategy. The firm will now manage its rides and attractions sales under the name Falcon’s Attractions Systems & Technologies (“Falcon’s Attractions”). This development underscores its commitment to providing cutting-edge immersive rides, attractions, and technologies for location-based entertainment experiences and more globally.
