Dubai’s Global Village has unveiled a series of new and upgraded attractions for its latest season, including ‘House of Fear’, billed as the scariest haunted house in the region.
Launching in time for Halloween, the new House of Fear features a team of scare actors and nine immersive experiences. These include a haunted cemetery, a hospital psych ward and a screaming tree.
Per a news release, House of Fear uses the latest animatronic technology from the US.
In addition, the new ‘Diggers Lab’ invites young visitors to operate diggers, dumpers and other construction machinery, while wearing a hard hat. The edutainment experience is found at the entrance to the Carnaval funfair.
New ‘Big Balloon’ ride and ‘Diggers Lab’
As previously announced, the ‘Big Balloon’ ride will offer 360-degree views across the park. The helium balloon is as high as a six-storey building.
Ripley’s Believe It Or Not will include more than 50 new exhibits, including an enormous killer crocodile and a matchstick model containing more than one million matchsticks.
The ‘Torture Chamber’ gallery now includes a new photo opportunity, and the new ‘Heroes Gallery’ is inspired by iconic superheroes and home to unique movie memorabilia.
Global Village has also introduced fast track queues to seven of Carnaval’s most popular rides, as well as new wearable video technology on three thrill rides.

Mark Tucker, director of Orb Entertainment, said the Global Village team has been “working hard to improve existing rides and dream up new experiences”.
“It takes thousands of man-hours to ensure that all our rides and attractions are at the level our millions of guests have come to expect from us. From safety to guest experience everything is ready and we can’t wait to open the gates on season 27,” he said.
Global Village is a multicultural festival park in Dubai. It boasts cultural attractions, shopping, dining and entertainment.
