It’s not enough these days to launch a new theme park zone or attraction if you haven’t got a quirky
food or beverage to go with it. Universal has had great success with Butterbeer, of course, and now at Disneyland Resort in California guests are going crazy for Groot Bread.
Shaped like the face of Groot, the tree-like character from Marvel’s Guardian’s of the Galaxy movies, the sourdough snack is available at Disney California Adventure. It features pupils made from black olives and jalapeño-cheddar hair. Priced at $8.50 a pop, it’s on sale alongside Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: BREAKOUT!, the park’s former Tower of Terror attraction.
Disney guests have already found a way to make Groot Bread more than just an edible treat. As seen here – and all over Instagram – it offers a great selfie/photo opportunity!
Meanwhile, over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Florida, visitors can enjoy a range if special foods at the recently opened Pandora – The World of Avatar. These include a pineapple-cream cheese spring roll called Lumpia and vibrant coloured drinks and desserts.
