Hersheypark is expanding its Halloween and Dark Nights events this year to offer additional days and hours, and a new haunted house and scare zone.
For the first time, every Hersheypark Halloween ticket will include entrance to all five Dark Nights haunted houses and three scare zones.
Both events are running from 15 September through 29 October. The main Halloween event is available from 5pm to 10pm on Fridays, 12pm to 10pm on Saturdays, and 12pm to 9pm on Sundays.
Dark Nights starts at 6pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. It is open until 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 10pm on Sundays.
New haunted house and scare zone
Returning for its second year, Dark Nights features a new horrifying haunted house called ‘Auntie Mortem’s Abattoir’. The description is as follows:
“Ethel Mortem, known as auntie to the community, is a second-generation meat processor running the family business with the help of her sinister nieces and nephews. Trucks keep coming to feed the machine, but the bones tell a more sinister story. Farm to table has never been more gruesome when auntie is planning the menu.”
The remaining haunted houses are ‘Haunted Coal Mine: Curse of the Tommyknockers’, ‘Creatures Uncaged’, ‘The Descent: Catacombs of Decay’, and ‘Twisted Carnevil’.
This year’s scare zones are the new ‘Fallout Zone’, as well as ‘Midway of Misery’ and ‘Darkstone’s Hollow’. The description for Fallout Zone is as follows:
“Rogue radioactive material has begun to emit an eerie green fog. Crews are scrubbing the midway to isolate, contain, and neutralize any threats. You may avoid the fallout, but can you escape the madness from those within?”

Guests will also enjoy lights-out rides on the new Wildcat’s Revenge hybrid coaster, as well as Candymonium, Comet, Lightning Racer and Laff Trakk.
Younger visitors can take part in the Treatville trick-or-treat trail, a Hershey character glow dance party, and a nighttime flashlight tour of ZooAmerica.
As for F&B, Hersheypark will be offering more spooky snacks and dreadful drinks this year, including toxic mac and cheese, blood orange lemonade and black velvet cake.
Exclusive merchandise will be available at Dark Nights Emporium, Halloween Bootique, and Hersheypark Supply Co.
