World’s first and largest Frozen land puts visitors in the kingdom of Arendelle

Hong Kong Disneyland has released a complete guide to its new Frozen-themed land, which opens on 20 November.

Inspired by Frozen and Frozen 2, the world’s first and largest Frozen land puts visitors in the kingdom of Arendelle and immerses them in Nordic culture.

World of Frozen is home to rides, attractions, retail outlets and F&B, as follows:

Frozen Ever After is a boat ride that takes visitors through the North Mountain where they see Elsa’s Ice Palace and witness her magical powers.

The ride features Walt Disney Imagineering‘s state-of-the-art Audio-Animatronics technology to bring Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven to life.

Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs is a family coaster that sends guests zooming across hills, through caves and over fjord waters.

Playhouse in the Woods is a unique and interactive show featuring Anna, Elsa and Olaf, as well as projection mapped content, special effects and sensory elements.

In addition to these new attractions, guests can visit the King Agnarr Bridge, and the village, castle, forest and bay of Arendelle.

Highlights also include a snowflake-shaped ice sculpture created by Elsa at Friendship Fountain, face-painting at Traveling Traders, and snacks at the Forest Fare cart.

Located in Arendelle village is Clock Tower Square, which offers views of the Clock Tower
seen in Frozen.

As for new retail and F&B at the theme park, Nordic-inspired cuisine will be on offer at the Golden Crocus Inn, from seafood stew to classic meatballs. Desserts can be found at Northern Delights, and souvenirs and wooden toys can be purchased at Tick Tock Toys & Collectibles.

“This beloved franchise will elevate Hong Kong Disneyland’s global presence,” said Michael Moriarty, managing director of Hong Kong Disneyland.

“We are excited to offer our guests an enchanting and immersive experience, where they can explore the captivating wonders of Arendelle.”

Michel Den Dulk, executive creative director at Walt Disney Imagineering, said: “This idea started as a sketch seven years ago and has since transformed into a beautiful land that will enchant guests with magical experiences.”
