IAAPA, the global association for the attractions industry, has announced the appointment of Jessi Quillen as vice president of digital strategy.
Quillen has a wealth of expertise from the retail and tourism industries, with 15 years of experience in global digital marketing and technology. She specialises in CRM, web, and loyalty experience.
Digital marketing expertise
Now based in IAAPA’s Orlando office, Quillen’s career has taken her from the western US, throughout the country and beyond to the UK. She is excited to use her skills in digital strategy to advance IAAPA’s goals and develop creative solutions that meet the needs of the association’s members.
Early in her career, Quillen worked for a groundbreaking online store where she first specialised in digital marketing and technology in the early 2000s. This role inspired her interest in the integration of technology and business and provided expertise which distinguished her from traditional marketers.
Quillen says: “I was fortunate to start my career in a company that fully embraced technology, which allowed me to develop a deep understanding and love for digital strategy.
“I am now extremely excited for the opportunity to work for IAAPA and create something amazing! I believe in this industry, and the company’s leadership, and I’m eager to learn and do more in this space.”
Together with her three young sons, Quillen is looking forward to enjoying Orlando’s parks and beaches. She also enjoys jogging, baking, and party planning.
As an unwavering believer in kindness and positive intent, one of her favourite quotes is “API: Assume Positive Intent,” from Scott O’Neil, CEO of Merlin Entertainments and author of Be Where Your Feet Are.
Last month, IAAPA opened registration for IAAPA Expo 2024 in Orlando, the premier event for the international attractions industry. The expo will take place at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) in Florida from 18 to 22 November.
