IAAPA, the global association for the attractions industry, has announced the speakers for next month’s IAAPA Expo Asia.
The trade show at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore will include talks from key figures in the attractions industry. Attractions such as Shanghai Disney Resort, Water World Ocean Park Hong Kong, Legoland Shanghai Resort, Universal Beijing Resort, Puy de Fou Asia, and Six Flags Qiddiya are among the line-up.
Owners, CEOs, general managers and more will attend IAAPA Expo Asia, regarded as the leading trade show for the attractions industry in Asia. The guests are from a wide range of visitor attractions, with cruise lines, FECs, theme parks and museums among the attendees.
June Ko, executive director and vice president of IAAPA Asia Pacific, says: “Knowing we have been without an in-person IAAPA Expo Asia since 2019, we worked hard to select top industry veterans to best mark the return of this premier event. Education is a main component for any IAAPA Expo and the Singapore program brings the best of our region together for impactful learning.”
Insightful talks programme
Key topics for the 2023 Expo are technology, innovations, and solutions; sustainability; and diversity. These forward-thinking themes will underpin the talks programme. From 13 – 16 June, speakers are set to discuss topics such as the process to create inclusive operations, how to operate a sustainable business, retail and merchandising, and tips for cultivating the workforce of the future.
The inaugural CEO Talk will bring together three highly regarded leaders from the sector. This informal conversation will cover topics including career progression and how to maintain strategic focus while developing company culture.
Jakob Wahl, IAAPA president and CEO is panel chair. Industry expert Darrell Metzger, Wuthichai Luangamornlert, Siam Park Bangkok Co., Ltd. managing director, and president of Ripley Entertainment and chairman of the 2023 IAAPA Board of Directors Jim Pattison Jr. will be taking part in the discussion.
IAAPA recently announced a new global Hosted Buyer Program which will launch at IAAPA Expo Asia 2023. The program will enable pre-qualified buyers to connect with exhibitors and members in pre-booked appointments. It aims to help companies optimise their time and budgets at the show.
