Katapult, the international guest experience design agency, will be exhibiting at this year’s IAAPA Expo Europe in Vienna, which takes place from 25 – 28 September. During the show, the team will be showcasing its themed resort design expertise, following more than 10 years of experience working on new-build and existing themed resort projects, bringing a memorable visitor experience to destinations across the globe.
The company has worked to create inclusive water parks, themed restaurants, play areas, and communal spaces throughout themed resorts and villages, in addition to developing distinctive hotel accommodations for guests. The design team is presently working on new IP-based themed resort design projects under the direction of former Disney Imagineer Andy Sinclair-Harris.
Talking about current projects, CEO & co-founder Dawn Foote says: “The confidential resort projects we’re working on are incredibly exciting. For us, our clients, and of course the future guests, these resorts will create a game-changing experience that will set the tone for future resorts.”
“We’ve built a team capable of delivering resort projects, alongside the amazing work we do for theme parks, family entertainment centres and visitor attractions worldwide. Led by our creative director, former Disney Imagineer, Andy Sinclair Harris, we have a strong design team, with experience in creating destinations with both magic and practicality in mind.”
Highlighting recent projects & partnerships
The co-founders of Katapult will also exhibit some of the company’s recently finished themed attraction projects while they are in Vienna, including a theme park expansion project with the UK attraction, ROARR! The theme park’s first-ever rides will feature in its upcoming expansion.
Additionally, they will provide more information about their partnership with Aardman Studios on The World of Aardman attraction concept. The turnkey attraction, which was unveiled at IAAPA Expo Asia, will include a studio experience, interactive features, a themed cafe, immersive retail, and photo ops with guests’ favourite characters, such as Morph, Wallace and Gromit, and Shaun the Sheep.
Vienna will also provide an opportunity to talk with Katapult about the firm’s most recent project with Merlin Entertainments and The LEGO Group. After a successful introduction at the pilot site in Brussels, LEGO Creative Club will become a brand-new section in all future locations worldwide. This new play experience encourages visitors to explore their imagination.
Dawn Foote and Phil Higgins will be at the Katapult booth, #B-1232. Meetings can be arranged by sending Katapult a message ahead of the show.
