Lagotronics Projects,the media-based attractions specialist,in partnership with Mack Rides, Leisure Expert Group and Themics, has revealed that the world's first Gameplay Theater will debut at Paultons Park in the UK as Ghostly Manor.
Paultons Park is a much-loved family theme park in Hampshire's New Forest National Park with more than seventy rides and attractions. The park's previous 4D movie theatre building will house the innovative new ride, Ghostly Manor, set to open in May 2025. The ride's exterior will honour the historic Paultons Manor, and its theming and plot will connect it to the park's rich history.
Gameplay Theater
The Gameplay Theateris an interactive dark ride that takes guests through variousscenes by combining special effects, highly themed decorative backdrops, and large projections. The vehicle offers an immersive story-driven experience, unveiling a new universe to explore with every turn of its axis. The Gameplay Theater is designedto maximise enjoyment while maintaining a large capacity on a small footprint.
Visitors to Ghostly Manor learn about the exploits of famed ghost hunter Dr. Kinley. He is off searching for the elusive ice ghost at the North Pole and has invited friends to tour his manor while he's away.
They will soon discover, though, that manyghosts have escaped. Using a specially created interactive tool called the "Phantom Phaser," visitors must capture every ghost again. However, they must alsowatchfor "Ohjee," the manor's most terrifying ghost, as getting him back will take all their skills and cooperation. Visitors score points forshooting ghosts in every scene and their total score is displayedat the ride's exit.
To integrate interactive technology, AV, lighting, and special effects, Mack Rides worked alongside Lagotronics Projects to design and develop the Gameplay Theater ride idea. The Leisure Expert Group designed the scene sets and entrance area, developed the narrative, and offered their creative experience to Ghostly Manor. Additionally, Themics is working to produce engaging theming that raises the level of immersion in the experience.
Together with Paultons Park, these companies have combined their strengths to create a memorable experience.
