Leading theme park designer, Legacy Entertainment, has described the size of its current workload as ‘unprecedented’ ahead of next week’s IAAPA Attractions Expo in Orlando.

The company is fully booked until the end of the year and says it won’t be taking on any more design services projects until January 2019.

According to Eric Carnagey, a Managing Director and one of the owners of Legacy Entertainment, this is unprecedented in the company’s history.

“Our company’s famous record of successful projects is based solely on quality, not quantity,” stated Carnagey. “While we are entertaining clients that would like to start work in January 2019, we have found ourselves in a position where we cannot take on any additional design services projects for the remainder of 2018 without compromising our focus on the current workload.”

He added that this workload is the firm’s most substantial since 2010.

The news comes at an auspicious time for the company, following a major restructuring and rebranding that has seen Legacy Entertainment move from sole proprietorship to senior employee ownership. The company will be unveiling its new brand identity at the IAAPA Expo, on the newly-designed Legacy Booth #1062.

Legacy Entertainment is among the world’s leading theme park and resort design companies. Over the past 16 years, the team has put its stamp on over 40 successful projects worldwide, including theme parks, themed attractions, water parks, themed hotels, destination resorts, casinos, aquariums, branded experiences, broadway shows, movies, tv series and music festivals.

The company is probably best known for the designs for Studio City resort in Macau, China, which opened in 2015; the Galaxy resort in Macau, China, which debuted in 2011; and the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, which first welcomed the public in 2005.

Lotte World is one of its more recent success stories. Legacy collaborated on eight projects with the South Korean theme park. The Kingdom of Poseidon resort in Harbin underpins the company’s extensive presence throughout China.

Legacy Entertainment continues to make major inroads further across Asia, with upcoming projects based in Indonesia and Vietnam. Legacy is also involved in a future project in the Middle East, in Doha/Qatar.
