An interactive 4D-ride, LEGO NINJAGO The Ride has opened atLEGOLAND Deutschland Resort, as the German theme park celebrates its 15th Anniversary.
With a 9.2 million Euro investment, park owner Merlin Entertainments Group, the world's second biggest attraction operator has madethe single biggest investment inLEGOLAND Deutschland's history.
The popular Lego brandNINJAGO is brought to lifeon close to7,000 square meters in the Günzburg park's new area. Over amillion individual LEGO bricks were used to create the new area. Guests can experience aninja monastery and of course interact withNINJAGO heroes Zane, Kai, Cole, Jay, Lloyd, Nya and Master Wu.
The heartof the new zoneis the new attraction LEGO NINJAGO The Ride.Thiscreates interactive fun in 4D for the whole family. Unique and innovative hand gesture technology allows the whole family to engage withthe characters and story.
The ride utilisesMaestro™ hand gesture technology developed by the Canadian media based attractions company Triotech.
Ninja Training
Before entering the temple, NINJAGO fans can practice their ninja skills on different stages. They can test their speedon Jay’s reaction game. Their strength and flexibility are tested onCole’s climbing wall and a finely tuned senseof balance is required forKai’s Spinners. This would not be Lego without an opportunity for guests to flex their building skills.Guests can getcreative in a LEGO DUPLO area and the more maturemaster builders can work onexpanding the LEGO monastery landscape.4D-ride LEGO NINJAGO The Ride
A completely new experience awaits guests withLEGO NINJAGO The Ride. Guests pass by different 3Dscenes.These were each created by Master Wu as single training rooms.On the ride'svehicles, the guestsshoot flashes, fire balls, ice fountains and air blasts against their virtual trainings enemies.using nothing but their hands. They gain pointsby doing so. Special effects help tocreate a perfect 4D-illusion. The training is then rudelyinterrupted by The Great Devourer attacking the temple. The mood becomes moreserious as guests realisethere is only one way to beat him.Guests must work together and join their powers for the grand finale.Ninjas can then recharge their batteries at the Ninja Kitchen with some tasty Asian food.
