Dino Valley contains two new rides and the existing Coastersaurus

Legoland California has announced an opening date for its new Dino Valley land, a dinosaur-themed zone with two new rides.

Debuting on 22 March, Dino Valley contains three rides – the new Explorer River Quest and Duplo Little Dino Trail, and the park’s existing Coastersaurus coaster.

Explorer River Quest is a river expedition to see Lego dinosaurs including a T-Rex, and Duplo Little Dino Trail is a safari ride to spot Duplo dinosaurs.

Dino Valley also includes the Dino Outpost build and play area, where young visitors can uncover buried bones and forgotten fossils, and build their own Lego dinosaurs. Additionally, there will be dinosaur-themed character interactions.

As well as the new land, Legoland California will launch the first parade in its history this year.

“As the first Legoland park in North America, it’s remarkable to see how Legoland California’s legacy of play has inspired generations of families over the last 25 years,” said Legoland California president Kurt Stocks. “It’s a privilege for us to debut North America’s first-ever Lego World parade in 2024, alongside our newest land, Dino Valley, where the past comes roaring to life in Lego form.”

In 2025, another new land called Lego Galaxy with an indoor space-themed roller coaster will launch at the park.

Supporting documents for the plans describe a roller coaster where riders embark on “an exploration mission into the uncharted Lego Galaxy in their own customized Lego spacecraft”. The new coaster will be situated in a “space port”-themed building.
