nWave Pictures, a multinational producer and distributor of immersive 3D/4D content, will be attending this year’s IAAPA Expo in Orlando, where the team will be showcasing the newest additions to its film catalogue.
Attendees will be able to discover the latest adventure-filled 4D/3D attraction film: Meg and the Lost Scepter. This is a follow-up to the firm’s feature film Chickenhare and the Hamster of Darkness, where viewers first met martial-arts-loving skunk Meg as she embarked on a quest with Chickenhare and Abe to find the Scepter of the Hamster of Darkness.
New 4D adventures
“We are thrilled to share this trio’s expedition in this format,” says Alexandre Milazzo, nWave marketing and communication coordinator. “Working on the feature film they first appeared in was so much fun, and to follow their journey in an action-packed attraction is just thrilling. We will be hosting a press conference at the nWave booth on Wednesday, November 16 at 1:15 and we look forward to telling you more about Meg and the Lost Scepter.”
This is not the only time nWave has taken inspiration from one of its feature films to create an attraction film. In fact, its eighth feature film, the Netflix hit Bigfoot Family, spawned both Bigfoot Family 4D and Trapper’s Adventures 4D. In Bigfoot Family 4D, the now-famous Bigfoot wants to put his sudden fame to good use by being a voice for wildlife preservation, leading to his dramatic rescue by family and friends from a corrupt oil company. Trapper’s Adventures tells the same tale from the eyes of his raccoon companion.
nWave will also be highlighting Wanted Alive 4D, presented in partnership with Redstar Studio. This takes viewers on an adventure through the Far West as Lori, a witty and resourceful young woman, on a mission to carry her merchandise to the nearest city, escorted by the old sheriff Marshal. Along the way, they encounter three sinister brothers, all Wanted Alive.
“IAAPA Orlando is a must in our conventions calendar,” says Milazzo. “There’s a special kind of energy that exudes from every booth. It really reminds you of how great this industry is and we are proud to contribute to it by investing our time and resources in the production of timeless film content that entertain families across the globe.”
The team will be at booth #862 during the trade show, which takes place from 15 – 18 November 2022. Meetings can be booked in advance by email.
nWave also reported a successful visit to this year’s IAAPA Expo Europe in London last September.
