The new resort will have attractions and rides and an indoor water park.

Oasis at Lakeport, a new $350 million resort and entertainment district in Missouri, will be home to a Marriott hotel.

Located in Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks, the upcoming destination will have rides and attractions, an indoor water park, F&B outlets, and a 400-room Marriott property.

The hotel will include a conference centre, spa and restaurants, as well as an outdoor pool and fitness centre. It will be located next to the 50,000-square-foot enclosed water park.

The resort’s amusement offerings will include roller coasters, thrill rides, family-friendly attractions and an observation wheel.

St. Louis-based SkyView Partners and Tegethoff Development are developing the resort. It is being constructed at the Lakeport marina, which was acquired by the Big Thunder Marine boating centre in 2021.

“The addition of the Marriott hotels property to the Lakeport family resort and entertainment district will solidify Oasis as the premier tourist destination in the Midwest,” said Todd Schneider, co-managing partner of SkyView Partners.

“Our goal for Oasis at Lakeport is to provide a year-round family-friendly offering with attractions and entertainment for everyone to enjoy.”

“We are excited to announce plans for the future Marriott hotels property and the amenities it will bring to the Osage Beach community,” said Jeff Tegethoff, founding principal of Tegethoff Development.

“I am committed to bringing partners to the lake community that will provide employment opportunities and enjoyment for future generations.”

Construction on the resort and district is scheduled to start in summer 2023, with the amusement park due to open in summer 2024. Work on the hotel and water park is expected to be completed in 2026.

“As plans for the family friendly offerings at Oasis at Lakeport continue to be announced, I am enjoying watching our community gain momentum as one of the fastest growing lake destinations,” said Osage Beach mayor Michael Harmison.
