Batman: Gotham City Escape has three launch segments and a top hat of 45 metres.

Parque Warner Madrid is opening its new €20 million Batman-themed roller coaster on 13 May, offering Batmobile-style coaster trains and four inversions.

Batman: Gotham City Escape features three launch segments, top speeds of 64.6 mph, 3,313 feet of track, and a top hat of 45 metres.

Highlights also include two corkscrews, a 147-foot beyond-vertical drop, a zero-g stall, a reverse sidewinder, and two LSM launches.

“Set in Gotham City, the new attraction will feature a spectacular theming that will come out of the Wayne’s mansion,” said Parque Warner Madrid in a blog post.

“The new coaster will be the most amazing experience that visitors will be able to experience at Parque Warner.

“The ‘Gotham City Escape’ will cover a large part of the park’s space with a length of more than 1,010 meters and a duration of 111 seconds.”

As above, riders will see iconic locations such as Wayne Manor, the Batcave, Robinson Park, and the Gotham Subway. They will meet Batman, the Joker, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy.

Operated by Parques Reunidos since 2007, Parque Warner Madrid covers more than 70 hectares and is home to 34 attractions, 10 shops and 28 F&B outlets.

Warner Beach, an adjacent water park, opened in 2014. It is the first Warner Bros.-themed water park in the world.

Last year, the park’s new Aquaman and Black Manta waterslides opened. They were created by ProSlide Technology Inc., an industry leader in water ride manufacturing and design.

“These two rides are iconic,” Aaron Wilson, ProSlide’s VP of business development for Europe and Latin America, told blooloop.

“They incorporate some of the newest innovations and technologies in water rides.”

“When ProSlide presented us with its proposal, we were convinced that it was what the park needed,” added Diego Gracia, general manager at Warner Beach.

Batman: Gotham City Escape was constructed by Intamin, a creator of record-breaking amusement rides.
