Paultons Park’s first on-site accommodation is in the works

Paultons Park in Hampshire, England has unveiled its new Scandinavian-inspired resort for overnight guests.

Located on the edge of the New Forest, Paultons Park’s first on-site accommodation supports the UK theme park‘s evolution into a leading destination.

The resort will include woodland lodges, treehouses and underground hobbit houses for up to 700 guests, all situated around a picturesque village-style street.

The resort’s central amenity hub will offer evening entertainment, family dining, retail outlets, play areas and conference facilities.

Masterplanned by landscape architecture and urban design practice Gillespies, the four-hectare site is also home to open meadows, woodland glades, a central lake, and native planting to enhance biodiversity.

The plans were submitted for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) screening in March, as was a pre-application to the New Forest National Park Authority.

New resort for up to 700 guests

Paultons Park previously said the new resort is “essential” for ensuring its long-term sustainability in a competitive market.

James Mancey, deputy managing director at Paultons Park, told the Southern Daily Echo earlier this year: “We are in the very early stages of developing a vision for accommodation at Paultons Park.”

He said the resort “could potentially take several years to come to fruition”.

“We are committed to continually reinvesting into our attraction, providing a world-class experience for our guests, and planning for the long-term,” Mancey added.

“In the immediacy, we already have extensive and very exciting expansion projects underway and the current works on site remain our priority.”

Opened in 1983, Paultons Park is a family-run theme park covering 140 acres and home to more than 80 rides and attractions. It also features the UK’s only Peppa Pig World.

Launching at Paultons Park next week is the new Ghostly Manor attraction, an innovative and interactive dark ride inspired by the historic Paultons Manor.
