Merlin Entertainments and Hasbro have opened Europe’s first Peppa Pig theme park in Günzburg, Germany.
Launched on 19 May, the world’s second Peppa Pig-themed park is located next to Legoland Deutschland.
The €30 million, 1.6-hectare destination features five accessible rides, seven themed playgrounds, shows for young fans, and themed F&B.
Designers at Merlin’s Magic Making have created the ultimate family-friendly experience, which includes the chance to fly in Daddy Pig’s red car, visit the iconic yellow house on the green hill, and ride on George’s cuddly dinosaur.

The first Peppa Pig theme park opened in Florida in 2022. A third location is to open in Dallas, Texas later this year.
Via a press release, the new park is Merlin‘s 10th use of the Peppa Pig license across its attractions, including Peppa Pig World of Play experiences and smaller themed worlds in parks like Heidi Park and Gardaland.
“Hasbro’s Peppa Pig and her loving family coming to Günzburg, Germany is our opportunity to bring joy, create connections and make memories for families with young children throughout Europe,” said Scott O’Neil, CEO of Merlin.
“Our fun with Peppa Pig and the iconic brand continues to grow from strength to strength as we develop and open new Peppa Pig formats, from city-centre attractions like Peppa Pig World of Play, to theme parks like the Peppa Pig park in Germany, Florida and soon to be opened Dallas, Texas location.”

Manuela Stone, divisional director of Legoland Deutschland and managing director of the Peppa Pig Park, added: “The Peppa Pig Park is a wonderful new attraction for our guests and the Günzburg region.
“A unique, wonderful world has been created here, looking as if you’ve jumped right into the popular series.”
Highlights include Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster, a balloon ride, a bespoke cinema, and an exclusive Duplo play zone featuring building tables with iconic scenes from the TV series.
“With the theme parks, children can immerse themselves in the world of their favourite piggy and thus experience their adventures together with her,” said Matt Proulx, vice president of experiences, partnerships and music at Hasbro.
