Puteri Harbour Family Theme Park, Malaysia, To Feature Hello Kitty, Bob the Builder and Thomas the Tank Engine

Themed Attractions and Resorts have announced the international and local brands for the themed attractions that will feature at the Puteri Harbour Family Theme Park, Nusajaya Johor, Malaysia, including Sanrio’s Hello Kitty and HIT Entertainment’s Bob the Builder®, Barney®, Angelina Ballerina®, Pingu® and Thomas & Friends®.

Sanrio Hello Kitty Town will be the first Hello Kitty theme park outside Japan, with walk through attractions and activities including a hi-tech interactive themed experience at Black Wonder to the Wishful Studio as well as Friendship Land with its playground and tea cup rides and live performances on the “Purrfect” stage.

The Little Big Club® will offer interactive activities and rides themed around HIT Entertainment characters Bob the Builder®, Barney®, Angelina Ballerina®, Pingu® and Thomas & Friends®.  This is the first time in the world that these 5 popular children’s characters will be included in one themed attraction.  As well as a Bob the Builder® themed ride, children will be able to help build houses in Bobsville, watch Barney® and friends in a live performance and join a dance class led by a computer generated image (CGI) of Angelina Ballerina®.

Puteri Harbour Family Theme Park will also feature an animated dining experience, LAT’s Place, based on cartoonist Dato’ Mohd Nor Khalid’s story of the Malaysian Kampung Boy.

The theme park, set to open in November 2012, is expected to attract 500, 000 visitors during the first year of operations.
