SimEx-Iwerks and Red Raion

SimEx-Iwerks will offer CGI titles from Red Raion‘s catalogue for its FlyRide experience

Red Raion, the CGI studio specialized in media-based attractions, is expanding its cooperation with SimEx-Iwerks Entertainment, an industry leader in immersive cinematic attractions.

Flying Theatres are growing in popularity and, as technology continues to evolve, are being installed around the world. This means operators are also in need of exciting content for these new attractions.

Red Raion and SimEx-Iwerks both have a wealth of experience in the field of media-based attractions. For instance, SimEx-Iwerks is the creator behind the FlyRide experience, and Red Raion has developed a catalogue of licensed titles for Flying Theatres.

Experienced partners

Now, SimEx-Iwerks will be able to offer exciting fly CGI titles from Red Raion’s catalogue for its FlyRide experience, starting with Aladdin – The Bachelor Party and Black Hole – The Multiverse War, the company’s first two licensed titles in this format. The studio is busy working on more titles that are yet to be announced.

“We at Red Raion are extremely proud of this partnership,” says Valeria Rizzo, PR and Business Development Director at Red Raion. “SimEx-Iwerks Entertainment has been in this industry for over 30 years, and their attractions have featured IPs of worldwide importance.

“It’s a forward-looking company that always studies the latest trends to offer the highest value to its clients. The number of licensed fly titles in the market is not as high as with other formats, so they decided to enrich their offer and chose to pair their FlyRide with Red Raion’s growing catalogue of fly movies.”

Showcasing a growing catalogue

“SimEx-Iwerks is very pleased to expand our cooperation with Red Raion,” said Howard Brodsky, Director, Licensing and Distribution, at SimEx-Iwerks Entertainment. “The enthusiasm and creativity of their young company shines through in their films, and we are happy to offer our clients the opportunity to experience the thrills and excitement their films have to offer.”

Earlier this month, SimEx-Iwerks Entertainment announced the release of a new collaboration with BBC Earth, Octopus: Blue Planet II 4D Experience. Meanwhile, Red Raion has partnered with the MADE Program by the Rosario Gagliardi Academy of Fine Arts to launch a bachelor’s degree course in Animation and CGI.
