Experienced themed entertainment professional joins the team

Scenario, the international themed construction contractor, has appointed Greg Senner to the role of Director of Project Development. Senner has worked in the themed entertainment sector since 1996, beginning at Universal Orlando Entertainment.

During his time with Universal, he had stints both in LA and Orlando and worked on projects such as building, decorating and operating a haunted house for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Hollywood, working on AV and lighting tech, and managing props and set dressing for seasonal entertainment.

A wealth of experience

Then, in 2003 Senner created his own scenic fabrication company, with Universal and SeaWorld as primary clients. In 2008 he sold the company and went on to work as the onsite scenic show set superintendent for the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey attraction at Universal in 2009. In 2011, he was appointed as Show Manager for Harry Potter: Diagon Alley and Escape from Gringotts.

Following this, he was also Show Manager for Jimmy Fallon: Race Through New York and Fast & the Furious Supercharged, before being promoted to Attraction Manager, where he assisted in the development of parkwide entertainment infrastructure for the Universal Beijing Resort.

Most recently, Senner has been running a consulting firm, focusing on owner’s representation and working with IP holders to explore opportunities in location-based entertainment. He is currently President-elect for the Themed Entertainment Association’s Eastern North America board of directors.

A perfect fit

In his new role with Scenario, Senner will oversee project development, as the team continue to bring new entertainment experiences to life.  His knowledge of design, fabrication and production in the themed entertainment sector will help Scenario as it expands its position as a global partner to brands and clients across the globe.

“Greg has a great track record of success when it comes to delivering scenic projects for A-level clients and attractions,” says Scenario USA’s Vice President, Dan Moalli. “His great reputation and technical mastery of spatial storytelling make Greg a perfect fit for Scenario’s growing team.”

Earlier this year, Scenario announced that it has partnered with Firefly Creations to promote the design and delivery of themed attractions. This includes Kraken Cove, a new theme park land designed as a pirate town built around the nest of a Kraken.
