Guests will begin the experience in the Abu Dhabi Ocean realm.

Ahead of its opening on 23 May, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi has revealed more about four of its eight immersive realms.

Billed as a next-generation marine life theme park, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi features rides, animal encounters, entertainment, and retail and dining experiences.

Guests will begin the experience in the Abu Dhabi Ocean realm, learning about the Arabian Gulf and the UAE’s pearl diving and trading traditions.

In this zone, there are waterfalls, palm trees, desert greenery and Emirati architecture. It is home to 30 species native to the UAE, such as sea snakes, sea turtles and dugongs.

Abu Dhabi Ocean also includes two shows in the Al Naham Theater, as well as a traditional Souk marketplace with stalls selling souvenirs. The realm’s dining options are Matbakh Ummi, Dallat Al Bahr, and Lugaima.

Additionally, Abu Dhabi Ocean is where guests can start playing the park’s interactive game, called S·E·A Guardian.

The One Ocean realm serves as a portal to the park’s other realms. Here, visitors can see the One Epic Ocean show, which includes a fleet of choreographed drones, spatial audio and a 360-degree screen.

Also part of this realm is the animal care centre, a facility with cutting-edge veterinary equipment and technology. Guests can observe the team as they work.

In the Rocky Point realm, guests can experience a beautiful hidden cove where seals and sea lions can be seen resting on rocks and swimming around.

Inspired by the USA’s Pacific Northwest, Rocky Point also includes an amphitheatre with a sea lion show, and an F&B outlet called Pretzel Point.

Finally, the park‘s MicroOcean realm is a colourful and playful world designed for children and home to some of the ocean’s smallest creatures.

After passing through the ‘Shrinkerators’, guests will feel like they are shrinking as the underwater life grows. This zone includes play structures such as the Kelp Climb and Explorer’s Sea Base.

It also has four family-friendly rides – OctoZoom!, Jelly Plunge, Turtle Twist and Eel Racer, as well as friendly characters such as Krill Dude, a dining outlet called Bitsy Bites and the Squirts retail facility.

Yas Island‘s SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, the first SeaWorld park outside of the US, houses more than 100,000 marine animals.
