SeaWorld Orlando is teasing its new dark ride for 2026, named SeaQuest: Legends of the Deep and described as “a deep sea adventure like no other”.
SeaQuest: Legends of the Deep, a unique suspended dark ride, will offer “an unforgettable journey beneath the waves” when it debuts next year, SeaWorld says.
Riders will discover the ocean’s “dazzling ecosystems, legendary sea life, and breathtaking stories of resilience and wonder” on state-of-the-art submersible-style ride vehicles.
“This groundbreaking attraction plunges explorers into an environment of awe and mystery, guided by the Sea Collective’s Adventure Team,” SeaWorld adds.
“From an immersive feel and advanced special effects to a spectacular finale launch that celebrates the ocean’s resilience and beauty, SeaQuest: Legends of the Deep fuses science and spectacle into an extraordinary family adventure.”
SeaWorld’s new SeaQuest attraction follows this year’s launch of Expedition Odyssey, a new Arctic-themed immersive experience using cutting-edge ride technology.
A unique attraction, Expedition Odyssey merges dynamic motion, state-of-the-art visuals, and real-world footage of Arctic wildlife to blur the lines between simulation and reality.
Last year, SeaWorld Orlando opened the Penguin Trek family launch coaster. Located in the new Antarctica realm, Penguin Trek boasts an indoor and outdoor track, and snowmobile-style ride cars.
Owned and operated by United Parks & Resorts, SeaWorld Orlando opened in Florida in 1973. Another coaster recently added to the park is Pipeline: The Surf Coaster.
“SeaWorld Orlando is already recognised as the coaster capital of Orlando. We already have an amazing array of coaster attractions catering to the whole family,” Mike Denninger, executive VP of attractions and capital development at United Parks & Resorts, told blooloop last year.
