SimEx-Iwerks Entertainment, an industry leader in immersive cinematic attractions, recently attended the 4th China International Import Expo, where it signed a strategic cooperation intention agreement with Happy Valley Group. The signing ceremony was attended by Xiaole He, a member of Happy Valley Group Party Committee and deputy general manager of Happy Valley Group, and Yiyun Zhou, chief representative, Greater China, SimEx-Iwerks.
As a result of this new agreement, SimEx-Iwerks will provide its cutting-edge 4D cinema technology, as well as other entertaining attractions, to Happy Valley Group.
Over 30 years of experience
The company has more than three decades of experience in attraction design and integration, as well as a large 4D film catalogue, developed with leading studios and IPs. To date, it has created and run over 350 attractions across the globe. In China, it works with over 50 attractions, including parks, science and technology venues and cinemas.
By bringing in SimEx-Iwerks’ 4D cinema technology, Happy Valley will be able to continue working towards its goal of creating a world-class theme park industrial group. With SimEx-Iwerks, Happy Valley Group has 4D theatres in eight of its parks: Shenzhen, Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai, Wuhan, Chongqing, Nanjing, Xi’an, as well as a 4D theatre in Xiangyang Fantasy Valley.
In the summer, SimEx-Iwerks celebrated the debut of a new family-friendly special effects adventure, “Scoob! 4D Experience”, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Themed Entertainment. The show, which is exclusively available for SimEx-Iwerks 3D and 4D theatres, first opened to the public at the Adventuredome at Cirus Cirus Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, in June 2021.
The 4D experience is suitable for fans of all ages, with the Scooby-Doo characters starring in an all-new 14-minute adventure as they solve an intriguing mystery.
The company also recently announced the release of a new collaboration with BBC Earth, Octopus: Blue Planet II 4D Experience.
