Experience the return of Jigsaw and enter the secluded farmhouse of the Perron family

Six Flags Magic Mountain in California is adding two new mazes based on James Wan‘s horror franchises to its 30th edition of Fright Fest.

From 8 September through 31 October, guests at Six Flags Magic Mountain will get to experience new mazes inspired by Saw X and The Conjuring.

Saw X is an upcoming horror film directed by Kevin Greutert. It is the 10th instalment in the film franchise and is set between the events of Saw (2004) and Saw II (2005). The former is directed by Wan.

The description for the Saw X maze is as follows: “Experience the return of Jigsaw as you attempt to survive his ingenious and terrifying traps in the untold chapter of his most personal game yet, inspired by the upcoming release from Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures, Saw X.”

The Conjuring (2013) is a supernatural horror film directed by Wan. The description for this Fright Fest maze reads: “Dare to enter the secluded farmhouse of the Perron family that has been terrorized and plagued by sinister spirits. Inspired by the 2013 film The Conjuring.”

The new menacing mazes will be joined by Condemned House Party from Scream Break, Truth or Dare, Vault 666: Unlocked, Aftermath: Chaos Rising, Sewer of Souls, and Willoughby’s Resurrected.

Six Flags Magic Mountain’s scare zones for this year are City Under Siege, Devil’s Triangle, CarnivHELL, Exile Hill, Nightmares – A Twisted Fantasy, TERRORtory Twisted, and The Deadzone.

Elsewhere, Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights has unveiled new haunted houses based on Stranger Things, The Last of Us, Chucky, The Exorcist: Believer, and Universal’s classic monsters.

Mall of America and American Monsters are launching a new haunt experience called Onionhead’s Revenge, and Hersheypark is expanding its Halloween events.

Opened in 1971, Six Flags Magic Mountain contains 20 roller coasters – more than any other theme park in the world. It also offers the tallest, fastest and steepest coasters in the world.
