Six Flags will serve as the official operator for Six Flags Qiddiya City and the Aquarabia water park at Saudi Arabia‘s Qiddiya giga-project.
Per a press release, Qiddiya Investment Company has signed a management services agreement under which Six Flags Entertainment Corporation will operate the parks.
“This operational agreement represents an important step forward,” said Selim Bassoul, executive chairman of Six Flags.
“We are committed to supporting Qiddiya’s vision by creating high-quality experiences that engage and inspire visitors of all ages.”
Six Flags will offer its management, operational and strategic expertise to oversee both parks in Qiddiya City, the project’s destination for entertainment, sports, and culture.
When it opens in late 2025, Six Flags Qiddiya City will be a playground for thrill-seekers with 28 rides and attractions, including Falcons Flight – the world’s tallest, fastest and longest coaster.
Adjacent to the park and also opening in late 2025 is Aquarabia, home to 22 state-of-the-art water rides and attractions, including the world’s tallest water coaster and Saudi Arabia’s first surf pool.
Immersive experiences in Qiddiya City
“We are excited to collaborate with Six Flags as we take Qiddiya City to the next level,” said Abdullah Aldawood, managing director of Qiddiya Investment Company.
“Their expertise will help us create memorable experiences that resonate with residents and visitors while contributing to Saudi Arabia’s cultural and economic growth as part of Vision 2030.”
Qiddiya City is a key element of Vision 2030, the kingdom’s multibillion-dollar initiative to diversify the economy and become a global leader in tourism.
Brian Machamer, president of Six Flags Qiddiya City and Aquarabia since 2019, will continue to lead the operations of both sites.
In addition to Six Flags and Aquarabia, Qiddiya City will house innovative attractions like the world’s first Dragon Ball theme park, a gaming and esports district, and an immersive F1 circuit.
Highlights also include a stadium with state-of-the-art holographic technology, and a performing arts centre where the theatre experience is enhanced through VR, AR and AI.
