Successful first year of trading for Gateway Ticketing Systems UK

News

Gateway Ticketing Systems UK, the admission control and ticketing software specialist, has reported a successful first full year of trading following the opening of its office in London, UK, in September 2012.

The company provides the full range of Gateway’s world renowned revenue management solution for general admission ticketing for all types of venue within the visitor attractions sector, including museums and galleries, heritage attractions and historic houses, zoos and gardens, theme parks and events. It also serves the bus and ferry transportation sectors.

Gateway UK offers all the services and support that are available from the Gateway head office in the US but crucially for the UK and Ireland also provides market specific aspects to installations and interfacing to UK specific systems and tour operators. And as well as catering for all ticketing requirements a venue may have, the company also provides solutions for areas including revenue  management, audience development and an enhanced customer experience.

Since its launch, the UK office has completed a number of key installations at well-known venues in the UK and the capabilities of its systems and the success of those already ‘up and running’ have ensured a regular flow of enquiries, with several more new contract agreements shortly to be finalised.

“We’ve had a tremendously successful first 12 months and are delighted with the reaction we’ve received from the attractions sector to the opening of our UK office, ” noted operations director Andy Povey. “Gateway has offered proven admission, ticketing and revenue management solutions for many years and we have brought these directly to the UK market to help venues in many different ways in these vital areas of their operation.

“We are working with a wide range of customers all of whom naturally have specific requirements and its hugely satisfying to be able to cater for such diversified needs. We have many more projects in the pipeline so yes, it’s been a great first year and we are looking forward to a very successful future.”

Gateway UK has signed three new clients this year in addition to providing service and support to existing customers. Among the latest projects to be completed have been a new visitor management system for the Roman Baths world heritage site in Bath and a new ticketing system at Sundown Adventureland in Nottinghamshire, while a third site, a well-known, iconic venue in London, has also just been announced (although details of this are unavailable at the present time due to a client confidentiality agreement).

“The venues we have dealt with to date cater to a wide range of annual visitor numbers so it’s been particularly pleasing to find that attractions of all types and size are recognising that Gateway can help them. The UK has an exceptionally diverse visitor attractions sector and having beaten strong competition to be chosen as the preferred supplier in some cases, we know we can cater to the vast majority of needs when it comes to admission and ticketing systems.”
