4D Specialist Simworx Launches New Immersive Tunnel experience

News

UK-based dynamic simulation and 4D effects theatre specialist Simworx has introduced a brand new attraction that takes sensory and physical simulation to a whole new level.

The most recent addition to the company’s product portfolio is the Immersive Tunnel which brings to the mainstream parks market what the company describes as a ‘Class One’ theme park ride akin to a Universal Studios style of attraction.

The Immersive Tunnel can be utilised for both entertainment and educational purposes and features tram-styled simulator platforms with either 30, 60 or 90 seats. Available as a static installation or with the tram simulators positioned upon a track system that will transport the passengers into the show area. Guests board the trams for an experience that takes them on a fun-filled journey that assaults the senses in many different ways – with physical platform drops, dynamic motion, blasts of air, water spray, vibrations, dramatic lighting effects, surround sound and 3D film projected to the front and both sides of the tram. All the various elements and effects combine to provide a hugely realistic experience.

Each tram unit of 30 seats – which are combined for larger capacity attractions – sits upon a 3 DOF motion base and is surrounded by 360 degree film projection to provide a truly immersive ride. A wide range of different themes and experiences can be incorporated into the attraction which is suitable for use in a host of venues, including theme parks, family entertainment centres, zoos, aquariums, museums, space and science centres and for corporate promotions.

“The Immersive Tunnel brings yet another simulation experience to our growing product range allowing us to offer customers an even wider choice when it comes to this type of attraction, ” said Simworx Managing Director Terry Monkton. “It places the guest in a unique environment and totally immerses them in the experience, something which operators are increasingly looking for. We can customise the attraction for specific themes and requirements and I’m sure it’s going to be a big success for us and those clients who add it to their venues.”
