The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), a non-profit representing compelling places and experiences worldwide, will be hosting its annual International Mixer during IAAPA Expo 2023 in Orlando.
This year’s event takes place on Tuesday 14 November from 7 pm to 10.30 pm, at Discovery Cove. Early bird rates for the TEA International Mixer, which will save attendees 15%, will end on 30 October. The event always sells out, so the TEA is encouraging people to register now.

“The International Mixer is filled with food, fun, and opportunities to connect with themed entertainment professionals from around the world,” says the TEA. “It’s a wonderful spot to catch up with old friends and meet new TEA members. This year is extra special because we’ll be announcing the 30th Annual Thea Award recipients! We cannot wait to share more about these incredible projects and individuals.”
The Thea Awards will be announced at 8 pm.
IAAPA Expo 2023 takes place from 13 – 17 November at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. This year’s expo has an expanded exhibit area and sponsored programming that spotlights significant industry companies. The TEA team can be found at booth #1069 during the trade show, which runs from 14 – 17 November. The indoor show space is sold out for the first time since 2019, with more than 1,100 exhibitors heading to the event.
The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) recently announced that Matt Barton is its president-elect. Barton is vice president of the International Board and a member of the TEA Executive Committee. He will work beside and with current president Melissa (Ruminot) Oviedo for the next 15 months, before taking over as president at the start of 2025.
In September, the TEA also revealed the names of the 2023 TEA Masters of Their Craft.
